10% Discount Available to all Active Military Families
Service Description
This service allows for a special education advocate to be present at your child's Initial or Triennial Eligibility Meeting to work collaboratively with the school staff in making sure your child's best educational interests are met and the regulations are followed. Prior to meeting, your advocate will complete a detailed review of all completed evaluations* to include cross-referencing them with past evaluations (if applicable) and interpreting all pertinent data points to be discussed. Your advocate will also prepare an Eligibility Determination Worksheet for meetings where a disability classification will be discussed. Advocates are able to attend all meetings in person or virtually. The cost of this service is $225 per hour for all Initial/Triennial Eligibility meetings. *All Evaluation Reports MUST be provided to us at least 48 hours in advance of a meeting. In the event that the school is delayed in getting these documents out, your family can choose to a.) Reschedule the meeting to allow us time to prepare, or b.) Hold the meeting as scheduled and pay an additional Late Document Fee of $75.00. **Please note that although you will only be billed for the length of the meeting time, this rate also includes the prep time for the meeting to include a detailed Meeting Planning Sheet as well as follow-up actions after the meeting, such as reviewing changes made to the IEP and communicating with the team. ***There will be a milage fee of 62.5 cents per mile (the set government rate) for meetings that take place outside of the Aquidneck Island area (Little Compton, Tiverton, Bristol, Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport, and Jamestown).
